Privacy & Security
Everything stays on your device. Your entries are stored locally, encrypted with AES-256 — the same standard used by banks and governments. There is no cloud database of your journal content.
Device-bound encryption keys. Your encryption keys live in your phone's secure hardware (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore) and never leave the device — not even to us.
Zero server-side access. DELO has no technical ability to read your entries, encrypted or otherwise. There's nothing to hand over, even if asked.
Biometric data never leaves your device. If you connect Apple Health, that data is used only for on-device pattern correlation — it is never transmitted anywhere, under any circumstance.
AI insights, privacy-first. When you request an AI-generated insight, only the specific entry text and context you're asking about is sent — scrubbed of personal identifiers first — and only at your explicit request. Nothing is sent automatically or in the background.
Privacy Shield. An optional second vault, cryptographically and physically separate from your primary one, indistinguishable from the outside — designed for situations where privacy needs go beyond the ordinary.
